  I don't feel angry or resentful, do you?

  i'm new here (my first post yesterday: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/12/138721/1.ashx) and i've noticed only one thing that i don't have in common with a few people here.. i'm breaking free of my beliefs after more than thirty years and i feel great.

  i feel calm, free and in control.. i feel no anger, resentment or hate towards my so-called brothers and sisters or towards the fds or the organization.

  i don't see the point, it doesn't help me any.

  I felt great relief being able to leave the BORG, when their theological implants began to fail in a cascading fashion. I was free of the collective and found that anger was unwarranted. I still believe most JWs including the leadership are sincere in their belief system or BS. and as none of them nor me can live up to any fantasy ideal, there is no point in expecting otherwise. Expectation is the key... the closer ones expectations are to experienced reality the fewer reasons one can find for any strong emotion.

  reality is perfect until you compare it to something it is not.

  it seems that humans are liars by nature and easily deceived at times, so skepticism seems the most rational approach to any experience. experiences are facts of perception, but beliefs about them are made in gross ignorance, even with our best science... and many cannot seem to tell the difference.

  my ex is a jw (as previously mentioned) and is against our son going to see the new movie, despite admitting that he has witness friends who will happily go and see it........oh and he also has witness friends that would dob their brother into the elders for going to see it.. i have just had a bit of a heated debate about it with him (our son is 14, nearly 15) and i just wondered if any of you have good sound reasoning for what is a 'matter of conscience' for these brainwashedd poo brains!!!!!.

  help.........warlock can you just wave a magic wand or something............ a mother doing battle with the force...............a brain numbing, mind control force at that.

  seriously folks though any gems you have would be greatly appreciated.

  the only universe I know is made up of 5 dimensions. 3 of space 1 of time and one of what if twilightzone alternatives. This 5th dimension impacts all my views, biases, decisions and gambles and so is as real as any of the others. as to the nature of reality, I have found that the universe I know is my own minds map, not the territory and so may not accurately represent reality in any sense...it may be just my dream...thus my name.

  I really want to know more about reality, but I am satisfied understanding the general limitations involved. I do believe we have the ability to sort of back engineer reality from our experiences to a useful degree and thus avoid the absolute confusion of solipsism.

  Why did you get married?

  as a young dub in the 80's me along with many of my friends got married, either in our teens or early 20's.. in my area, if you were over 25 and not married, it was percieved that something was wrong with you or you were probably engaging in sex with a "worldly" person.. by why did so many of us feel the need to get married so young?.

  i believe it was because of one of three reasons.. 1. you wanted to get out of your parets home.. 2. you had already gone "too far" with you girlfriend or boyfriend.. 3. you were just an average normal teenager and you knew this was the only way you could legally have sex.. .

  was this true in your area?.
